What Have We Been Up To In The Solar World
We have had a busy start to the 2008-year with solar workshops and consulting services. Bob Ramlow has been working with WE Energies, Johnson Controls and Focus on Energy doing a series of workshops on Commercial Solar Thermal Design and Installation Training with Bill Guiney. These workshops have been a great opportunity for an expanded audience to learn about the benefits and applications of solar thermal energy. The last of this series takes place on February 28th in Waukesha. To find out more please visit www.ecw.org/solar.
Bob has also been teaching Solar Thermal Installation Labs for Professionals in collaboration with the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) and Hot Water Products. These workshops are targeting plumbing and HVAC professionals who are looking to add solar thermal to their service list. The class will qualify them for Focus on Energy’s full service installer list. To find out more, or to register for these workshops visit www.the-mrea.org and click on Education & Training and then Workshops. The last two weeks of March hold the last of the Solar Thermal Installation Labs for Professionals this year.
Artha’s Solar Thermal Installation Classes are now being offered through the MREA. The classes are the same, and will take place here at Artha Sustainable Living Center, but to register for the course please visit the above link. These workshops only require an intro solar thermal course and qualify attendees for the Focus on Energy full service installer list as well as NABCEP continuing education credit. Classes are filling up fast so register soon, and for lodging you can stay right here at Artha Bed and Breakfast.
Benjamin Nusz is working hard on solar thermal designs for homeowners and businesses not only in the US, but Canada and Chili. We are on a short list of designers doing solar thermal heating systems using sand bed storage, which is becoming very popular. To find out more on our consulting services please visit our website at www.arthaonline.com.
See Chamomile Nusz speak on Solar Thermal Energy Solutions at the Energy Design Conference and Expo on February 26th and visit with her at Artha’s booth during the conference on the 26th and 27th. To learn more visit www.duluthenergydesign.com.
