COURSE DESCRIPTION
Solar hot water (thermal) systems have been around for decades, but have never been as popular as they are today. Bob Ramlow is one of two ISPQ certified independent master trainers in the Solar Thermal industry. His book, 'Solar Water Heating', is recognized as a comprehensive design and installation manual and serves as our guide for preparing for the NABCEP Entry Level Exam. This 40 hour course includes a text book, video lessons, reading assignments, quizzes, discussion, homework problems, and design software. It's the most comprehensive course available for building professionals getting into solar.

Bob is an ISPQ Independent Master Trainer in Solar Thermal and a NABCEP Certified Solar Thermal Installer. Bob has more than 30 years experience designing and installing solar systems and has been a driving force in the growth of solar thermal use. Bob is the co-author of the manual, 'Solar Water Heating', which is the textbook used for this course.
Bob is co-owner of Artha Sustainable Living Center LLC and a lead consultant for the state of Wisconsin's Focus on Energy program. He is the author of Solar Water Heating, A Comprehensive Guide to Solar Water and Space Heating Systems, the first book of it's kind written in over 25 years. Bob is an ISPQ Independent Master Trainer in Solar Thermal and an NABCEP Certified Solar Thermal Installer. Bob has more than 30 years experience designing and installing solar systems and has been a driving force in the growth of solar thermal use. Bob not only consults and educates on renewable energy, he leads by example living in a home that is powered by the sun and built with sustainable materials.

Artha Sustainable Living Center's Workshops and retreats taught by experts in solar and renewable energy, herbal medicines and body products, yoga and meditation.

Our environment is conductive to opening the mind and giving students the ability to learn in a classroom setting. Workshops also include hands on experience, such as installing a solar system or planting and harvesting organic vegetables and herbs, yoga and meditation. Classes take place in the second story of a straw bale renovated barn with radiant heat or rustic gazebo in the woods.

Attendees have the option of staying on site at Artha Bed & Breakfast where they can experience green living powered by the sun, a truly sustainable way of life. We are proud to be using organic sheets, towels, non VOC paints and other green materials in the home.

The B & B is available for guests throughout the year. Come for just a night, or have your own retreat or reunion in this beautiful natural oasis.

Workshop Policies

Registration and Cancellation Policies for Artha Workshops and Retreats

Registration:
Workshops and Retreats are open to all individuals on a first come first serve basis. Class size is limited and individuals can register for workshops and retreats by filling out an online or printed registration form or calling 715-824-3463.

Payment:
We take Credit Cards or Checks, Purchase on line, by phone or mail registration form to Artha Sustainable Living Center LLC, 9784 County Road K, Amherst, WI 54406.

Cancellation:
If cancellation is less then one month prior to the workshop/retreat date 50% of the workshop/retreat fee will be reimbursed. If cancellation is less then two weeks prior to the workshop/retreat date there will be no reimbursement.

Sessions of guided meditation will be interspersed with workshops on chakras, breathing techniques and restorative and vinyasa flow yoga. You will receive handouts on meditation techniques, yogic breathing techniques and yoga posture flows. Stay on site and experience the full inner centering of this renewable energy oasis. We are located in the beautiful country of central Wisconsin. Two nights stay included in the stay on site fee as well as breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings and a catered lunch Saturday and Sunday and a catered dinner Friday and Saturday. Participants will enjoy free time to explore trails in the wooded hills and open fields.

I want to thank you for the wonderful weekend retreat.
